    About the Book

Silent Knowledge explores the concept of silent knowledge and the philosophical and experiential legacy associated with the ancient peoples of Mexico. Within the framework of this work, such knowledge is presented as a body of awareness concerning human beings, the world, life, and the inner capacities of the individual.

The book examines the relationship between this knowledge and the practices through which it may be approached, including the practice of movements known as Magical Passes, inner silence, heightened awareness, concentration, and a deeper understanding of ancient philosophical traditions. From this perspective, an important part of this knowledge lies within the individual, while constant preoccupation with the external world and the habits of everyday life may hinder awareness of it.

In the introduction, Warin Williams examines the culture and philosophy of ancient Mexico and the Toltec tradition from the perspective presented in the book, seeking to establish connections between this ancient heritage and the teachings conveyed in the works of Carlos Castaneda. In this interpretation, Castaneda’s writings are presented not merely as collections of theoretical teachings, but as paths toward direct experience and understanding. Concepts such as energy, awareness, personal power, inner silence, and the transformation of perception occupy a central place in this approach.

One of the book’s central themes is the distance between human beings and their inner capacities, as well as the dominance of habitual patterns of thought and living. From this viewpoint, exploring the unknown requires a reconsideration of established assumptions about oneself and the world, and an openness to perceiving reality beyond a framework limited to material objects and concepts.

The book also discusses the teachings of Don Juan Matus and his place in Castaneda’s intellectual and philosophical world, presenting them as part of a path toward deeper understanding. Within this framework, knowledge is understood not simply as information acquired through books and reason, but as a form of experiential and inner understanding connected with changes in the way a person perceives and lives.

Ultimately, Silent Knowledge invites readers to explore inner understanding and reflect on awareness, energy, life, and the human place in the world. This exploration is associated throughout the work with such concepts as intent, awareness, inner silence, personal power, and the movement toward knowledge and illumination.

This book may appeal to readers interested in Carlos Castaneda, intuitive philosophies, and the traditions of ancient Mexico, as well as those exploring self-knowledge, awareness, personal transformation, and the search for meaning in life.
